March 19, 2012 - NOTICE TO ALL LICENSE APPLICANTS
The background check fee will decrease to $22.00. All license applications postmarked on or after March 19, 2012 should include the new fee. All license applications postmarked before March 19, 2012 should include the present background check fee of $24.00.
The Licensing section of the Office of Administration in the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety handles the giving, renewal, and management of those licensed in the manufactured homes/Factory Built Buildings field. For Information regarding New Licenses, there is a checklist with the proper forms available for download.
Business Licenses are the scope of licenses involved in the Production, Installation and Sale of Manufactured homes and Factory Built Buildings (Modulars). Dealers can, depending on classification, purchase and sell manufactured homes and factory built buildings. Installers are licensees who may be properly contracted by a dealer, etc. to install a home or accessory unit and connect utilities. The other type of business license Manufactures homes, Factory Built Buildings, or both. A How-To guide has been provided for common Business license requests.

Each licensed business is required to provide a Qualifying Party who is an owner, employee, corporate officer, member or partner of the business. This person will ensure full compliance with Title 41, Chapter 16, articles 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Rules and Regulations of the Office of Administration.
Dealers also require a licensed Salesperson.
