Welcome to the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety Website
The Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety’s mission is to further public safety and welfare.
The Department:
• Develops, maintains and enforces quality and safety standards for manufactured homes, mobile homes and factory built buildings.
• Maintains and enforces the State Fire Code.
• Develops and maintains administrative procedures to facilitate consumer protection.
These functions are proscribed in detail in the Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) (provided by the Arizona Legislative Information System, ALIS) and in rules through the Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.).
The Department's enabling Statutes are located in A.R.S. Title 41 “State Government” and Chapter 16 “Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety".
